Tomas Cabrera, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Cabrera, Audiologist, graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Bloomsburg University in 2015. He received his Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in Pennsylvania in 2020.

After completion of his doctorate program, Dr. Cabrera relocated to the Charlotte area. He joins our practice with experience in many different clinical settings. His clinical interests include adult diagnostics and amplification, assistive listening technologies, hearing conservation and community outreach. Dr. Cabrera specializes in the evaluation, treatment and management of tinnitus and hyperacusis.

Dr. Cabrera is originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania and spent 10 years living in Philadelphia. He is an avid sports fan and his favorite football team is the Philadelphia Eagles. When Dr. Cabrera is not in the office, he loves spending time with his fiancé and their two dogs. He can also be found exercising, kayaking, and golfing outside of the office.

Christina Seaborg, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology

As an audiologist for the past 25 years, Dr. Seaborg has dedicated her professional life to the evaluation and treatment of disorders of the auditory system, including both the hearing and balance mechanism.

She has enjoyed participating in the dramatic advances in hearing aid technology and the improved procedures for treating balance problems. In addition to providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, Dr. Seaborg specializes in the follow-up care necessary for rehabilitation. With a doctorate in Audiology, she is the most highly trained professional to rehabilitate hearing loss.

Dr. Seaborg is board certified in Audiology through the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She has over 25 years experience working in large medical centers and in private practice. She was director of Audiology and Speech Pathology at Methodist Hospital Medical center in Indianapolis, IN and at Penn State Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Seaborg is a graduate of Indiana University and earned her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Florida.

Dr. Seaborg was recently recognized as the Outstanding Audiologist for 2012 by the Audiological Resource Association.

Gale joined The Hearing & Balance Center in July 2015 as assistant to Dr. Christina Seaborg. She is currently licensed with the North Carolina State Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board as an apprentice and is working towards obtaining her license as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Her responsibilities range from patient care to administrative duties. She is truly passionate about helping to improve patients’ lives through better hearing and communication.

Originally from Naples, FL, Gale now lives in Charlotte with her husband, Aaron, their three sons, and three Doberman Pinschers. She enjoys traveling, cooking, and collecting mid-century modern furnishings and art.
